CONSULTANT AGREEMENT <br />FOR STAFF SERVICES <br />This agreement is entered into this 4th day <br />of December , 1973, by and between the City of <br />Redlands, California, hereinafter referred to as the "City", <br />and Magnus E. Mead, a private consultant, hereinafter referred <br />to as "Mead". <br />WHEREAS, Mead is a private consultant with substantial <br />experience in the field of solid waste management, and <br />WHEREAS, the City because of its many and varied <br />activities in solid waste management has a continuing require- <br />ment for on -call consultant services in this field, and, <br />WHEREAS, Mead is desirous of offering the City con- <br />sultant service in solid waste management, and <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to avail itself of Mead's <br />consultant service, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto mutually agree <br />as follows: <br />1. Scope of Service: <br />a. Mead agrees to provide advice and guidance <br />to the City of Redlands in the field of <br />solid waste management. Advice and guidance <br />will be limited to conferring with city <br />officials and employees designated by the <br />City Manager. No manual or clerical type <br />work will be provided by Mead. <br />b. Mead shall be available for advice not to <br />exceed a total of fifty-two (52) hours per <br />calendar quarter. <br />c. Transportation. Mead will be reimbursed <br />at the customary city rates for the use <br />of his privately owned vehicle on city <br />
