.. iE <br /> b. <br /> CONSULTANT AGREEMENT <br /> THIS AGREEMENT by and between the City of Redlands, California, <br /> herein referred to as "City" and Mr Frank P. Maloney, also <br /> referred to as "Consultant" is dated this 27th day of December, <br /> 1976. <br /> For and in consideration of the mutual covenants contained <br /> herein, the City agrees as follows : <br /> 1. To engage the Consultant under contract with the City as <br /> Director of the Joslyn Senior Center to formulate and conduct <br /> a comprehensive senior program which will include recreational , <br /> educational, cultural and social services. Tasks shall Include <br /> preparation and administration of the center budget, super- <br /> vision of staff members, preparation of written reports , record <br /> keeping, preparation of grant proposals for private and public <br /> supplementary funds, and performance of periodic maintenance <br /> checks The Consultant shall also meet with community groups <br /> to publicize and explain program content, coordinate with the <br /> Joslyn Advisory Board, conduct recruitment programs for volun- <br /> teers and provide for their training, coordinate center activ- <br /> ities with other city departments , approve requests for use <br /> of center facilities, schedule use of rooms , establish procedures <br /> to assure the comfort and safety of program participants, and <br /> permit no activities detrimental to the best interest of the <br /> City. <br /> 2. To compensate Consultant for such services at the rate of <br /> $500 per month, payable $250 semi-monthly. This rate based <br /> upon an average forty hour, five-day work week. It is antici- <br /> pated that work load may vary, Consultant agrees to work the <br /> hours required to accomplish the contracted services . <br /> For and in consideration of the mutual covenants contained herein, <br /> the Consultant agrees as follows • <br /> 1 To diligently and promptly perform services as Director under <br /> the direct supervision of the Director of Recreation. <br /> 2. To be compensated for such services as enumerated above <br /> 3. To perform said services during each normal work week or other <br /> reasonable hours as directed by the Director of Recreation <br /> The parties hereto agree that employment will begin on December 27, <br /> 1976 and terminate on June 26, 1g77 . Further, employment may be <br /> terminated by either party upon giving thirty (30) days notice, <br /> in writing, or any time by mutual agreement of the parties in <br /> �t3 <br /> /117)271.7e, <br /> R ert H.
