ORDINANCE NO. 2846 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING TITLE 18 OF THE <br />REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADOPTING A REVISED LAND USE ZONING <br />MAP AND PREZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE <br />UNINCORPORATED AREA OF THE COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO (ZONE <br />CHANGE NO. 454) <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Governnent Code section 65855, the Planuning <br />Commission of the City of Redlands has reviewed proposed Zone Change No. 454 (the <br />"Zone Change") to change the City's land use zoning map for 11.97 acres identified as <br />Assessor Parcel Nos. 0299-011-11 and 0299-011-12 and located on the east side of <br />Wabash Avenue, north of Sylvan Boulevard from unincorporated San Bernardino County <br />RL-5 (Rural Living — 5 Acre Minimum) to the City of Redlands R-1 (Single Family <br />Residential) District, and <br />WHEREAS, on February 28, 2017, the Planning Commission held a noticed <br />public hearing on the Zone Change and considered verbal and written testimony of City <br />staff, the applicant for the proposed Zone Change, and testimony from members of the <br />public; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Conunission has reconrnnended to the City Council that <br />the Zone Change be approved; and <br />WHEREAS on March 11, 2017, notice of this City Council's public hearing for <br />the Zone Change was published in the Redlands Daily Facts by the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, on March 21, 2017, the City Council held a public hearing and <br />considered the staff written and oral reports, the recommendation of the Plarming <br />Commission, the testimony and written evidence submitted by and on behalf of the <br />applicant, and testimony by members of the public; and <br />WHEREAS, following the public hearing on the Zone Change, at which this City <br />Council provided opportunity for public testimony, the City Council determined that <br />adoption of the Zone Change is in the best interests of the public health, safety and <br />general welfare; <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1.
