ORDINANCE NO. 2819 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING TITLE 18 OF THE <br />REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADOPTING A REVISED LAND USE ZONING <br />MAP (ZONE CHANGE NO. 443) <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Government Code section 65855, the Planning <br />Commission of the City of Redlands has reviewed the proposed Zone Change No. 443 (the <br />"Zone Change") to change the City's land use zoning map from the A-1 (Agricultural) <br />District to the R-E (Residential Estate) District for approximately 32.28 acres located on <br />the north side of San Bernardino Avenue, approximately 600 feet east of Judson, Street, <br />and after holding a noticed public hearing, made a writtenrecommendationfor adoption of <br />the Zone Change to the City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, on May 12, 2015, the Planning Commission held a noticed public <br />hearing on the Zone Change and considered verbal and written testimony of City staff, the <br />applicant for the proposed Zone Change, and testimony from members of the public; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended to the City Council that <br />the Zone Change be approved; and <br />WHEREAS on June 9, 2015, December 22, 2015 and June 9, 2016 notice of this <br />City Council public hearings for the Zone Change was published in the Redlands Daily <br />Facts by the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, on July 7, 2015, July 21, 2015 and June 21, 2016 the City Council <br />held public hearings, and considered the staff written and oral reports, the recommendation <br />of the Planning Commission, the testimony and written evidence submitted by and on <br />behalf of the applicant, and testimony by members of the public; and <br />WHEREAS, following a public hearing on the Zone Change, at which time the City <br />Council provided an opportunity for public testimony, the City Council determined that <br />adoption of the Zone Change is in the best interests of the public health, safety and general <br />welfare; <br />Section 1. The zoning designation for approximately 32.28 acres located on the <br />north side of San Bernardino Avenue, approximately 600 feet east of Judson Street, is <br />hereby changed from the A-1 (Agricultural) District to the R-E (Residential Estate) District <br />on the City's Land Use Zoning Map as more particularly shown on the map attached hereto <br />as Exhibit "A." <br />Section 2. The Mayor shall sign this ordinance and the City Clerk shall certify to <br />the adoption of this ordinance and shall cause it, or a summary of it, to be published once <br />I:\cclerk\Ordinances\Nos 2800-2899 in Word\2819 Zone Change <br />443.docx 1 <br />
