RESOLUTION NO. 7641 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS <br /> DESIGNATING THE MUNICIPAL UTILITIES AND ENGINEERING DIRECTOR AS AGENT <br /> TO EXECUTE ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM GRANT APPLICATION <br /> WHEREAS, the Legislature and Governor of the State of California have provided fiends <br /> for the Active Transportation Prograin (ATP); and <br /> WHEREAS, Caltrans has been delegated the responsibility for the administration of ATP, <br /> establishing necessary procedures; and <br /> WHEREAS, said procedures established by Caltrans require a resolution designating an <br /> agent to execute the application before submission of said application to the State; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City, if selected, will enter into an agreement with the State of California <br /> to carry out the project; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redlands <br /> as follows: <br /> Section 1. Approves the designation of the Municipal Utilities and Engineering Director as <br /> agent to execute the application; and <br /> Section 2. Certifies that the City understands the assurances and certification in the <br /> application; and <br /> Section 3. Certifies that the City will have sufficient funds to operate and maintain the project <br /> consistent with the land tenure requirement, or will secure the resources to do so; and <br /> Section 4. Certifies that it will comply with all provisions of Section 1771.5 of the California <br /> Labor Code; and <br /> Section 5. If applicable, certifies that the project will comply with any laws and regulations <br /> including, but not Iimited to, the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), legal <br /> requirements for building codes, health and safety codes, disabled access laws, and, that prior to <br /> commencement of construction, all applicable permits will have been obtained; and <br /> Section 6. Certifies that the City will work towards the State Planning Priorities intended to <br /> promote equity, strengthen the economy, protect the environment, and promote public health and <br /> safety as included in Government Code Section 65041.1. <br /> Z <br /> l:lcclerklResolutionslRcs 7600-769917641 ATP Cycle 3 6 7 16.docx <br />
