RESOLUTION NO. 7626 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS, <br /> OF PRELIMINARY APPROVAL OF <br /> ENGINEER'S REPORT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2016-2017 FOR <br /> LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. I <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands, ("this City Council) has <br /> heretofore determined that the public interest, convenience and necessity require the maintenance <br /> of landscape and irrigation facilities set forth in Section 22525 of the Streets and Highways <br /> Code, State of California, within the incorporated boundaries of the City of Redlands; and <br /> WHEREAS, Michael Pool, City of Redlands' Interim City Engineer, 35 Cajon Street, <br /> Suite 15A, Redlands, California, has been appointed "Assessment Engineer" with all provisions <br /> of Division 15 applicable to the Engineer being applied to "Assessment Engineer"; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 22622 and 22623 of the Streets and Highways Code required that an <br /> Engineer's Report be prepared and filed annually, outlining the assessments to be levied against <br /> the benefiting properties within the City's Landscape Maintenance District No. l; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redlands' City Engineer, as the Assessment Engineer, has <br /> prepared and filed with the City Clerk a report in writing as required by the Landscaping and <br /> Lighting Act of 1972 and in compliance with Article XIIID of the California Constitution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has duly considered said report and each and every part <br /> thereof, and finds that each and every part of said report is sufficient, and that no part of the <br /> report requires or should be modified in any respect; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Redlands as <br /> follows: <br /> Section 1. That the Engineer's estimate of the itemized costs and expenses of said <br /> work and of the incidental expenses in connection therewith, contained in said report be, and <br /> each of thele are hereby, preliminarily approved and confirmed. <br /> Section 2. That the diagram showing the Landscape Maintenance District No. 1 <br /> referred to and described in said report, and the boundaries of the lots and parcels of land within <br /> such assessment district as the same existed at the time of passage of this resolution, is hereby <br /> preliminarily approved and confirmed. <br /> Section 3. That the proposed assessment upon the properties in Landscape <br /> Maintenance District No. 1, in proportion to the estimated benefit to be received by such <br /> properties, respectively, from said work and of the incidental expenses thereof, as contained in <br /> said report is hereby preliminarily approved and confirmed. <br /> 1 <br /> 1:!cclerk\Resolutions\Res 7600-769917626-LMD FY16-17 Prelim App 6 7 16.doe <br />
