Cultural Arts Commission Appointment <br />On motion of Council Member Mario Saucedo, seconded by Council Member Jenna <br />Guzman -Lowery, the City Council unanimously appointed, by roll call vote, Crystal V. <br />Lopez to serve the remainder of a four-year term on the Cultural Arts Commission ending <br />January 6, 2026. <br />Vote: 4 - 0 Passed <br />Settlement Agreement Disclosure <br />On motion of Council Member Mario Saucedo, seconded by Council Member Jenna <br />Guzman -Lowery, the City Council unanimously approved, by roll call vote, the public <br />disclosure of details of an Agreement of Settlement and General Release between the City <br />of Redlands and Pamela Nelson. Under the terms of the agreement, the City agrees to pay <br />Ms. Nelson $50,000 to settle and dispose of disputes and controversies associated with <br />civil action pending in the San Bernardino County Superior Court entitled Pamela Nelson <br />v City of Redlands, et al., Case No. CIVSB2104053. <br />Vote: 4 - 0 Passed <br />Resolution No. 8453 Terminating Local Emergency <br />On motion of Council Member Mario Saucedo, seconded by Council Member Jenna <br />Guzman -Lowery, the City Council unanimously adopted, by roll call vote, Resolution <br />No. 8453 terminating the local emergency previously proclaimed in response to the <br />COVID-19 pandemic. <br />Vote: 4 - 0 Passed <br />In -Kind Support Vibe Health and Wellness Festival <br />On motion of Council Member Mario Saucedo, seconded by Council Member Jenna <br />Guzman -Lowery, the City Council unanimously determined, by roll call vote, that <br />approval of the event is exempt from environmental review pursuant to Section 15311(c) <br />of the State's guidelines implementing the California Environmental Quality Act; <br />authorized the closure of East High Avenue, Division Street, East Park Avenue, <br />North University Street, Sylvan Boulevard, North Grove Street, East Brockton Avenue, <br />and Chapel Street; and authorized the expenditure of city resources and in -kind support in <br />the amount of $13,471 related to this event, hosted by the University of Redlands - <br />Alliance For Community Transformation and Wellness (ACTW) and scheduled to be held <br />on September 17, 2023, within Sylvan Park and the surrounding area. <br />Vote: 4 - 0 Passed <br />CC_SA_July 5, 2023 <br />Page 3 <br />
