RECONVENE CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />The meeting reconvened at 6 00 P M with an invocation by Mayor Pro Tem Tejeda followed by <br />the pledge of allegiance to the Amencan flag <br />CLOSED SESSION REPORT <br />City Attorney McHugh announced that no reportable action was taken during the closed session <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Embracing Redlands History - Andy Hoder spoke of the importance of understanding the City's <br />history in order to preserve and protect the community's future He highly recommended the <br />instructive Redlands Local History Class, taught by Larry Burgess, Tom Atchley, and the team's <br />newest member, Nathan Gonzales The class is offered through A K Smiley Library <br />Various Items- Dennis Bell stated people flock to the downtown area for the bars, not public art, <br />and he thought a new online survey related to mural art seemed irrelevant to him He complained <br />of poor audio quality during the Municipal Utilities Public Works Commission meeting held on <br />October 4, 2021 <br />PRESENTATIONS <br />Proclamation California Clean Air Day <br />Council Member Davis presented a Proclamation declaring October 6, 2021 as California Clean <br />Air Day in the City of Redlands to Mark Cloud, Government Relations Manager at Southern <br />California Edison Ms Davis and Mr Cloud encouraged everyone to take the pledge and <br />personally participate in actions that can directly improve the region's air quality <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Minutes <br />On motion of Council Member Paul Foster, seconded by Mayor Pro Tempore Eddie Tejeda, the <br />City Council unanimously approved the minutes of the regular meeting of September 21, 2021 <br />Vote⢠5 - 0 Passed <br />Proclamation California Clean Air Day <br />On motion of Council Member Denise Davis, seconded by Council Member Jenna <br />Guzman -Lowery, the City Council unanimously approved issuance of a Proclamation declaring <br />October 6, 2021 as California Clean Air Day in the City of Redlands <br />Vote. 5 - 0 Passed <br />CC_SA_October 5, 2021 <br />Page 2 <br />
